DIGNITY AMBASSADOR
The Roles of Our Dignity Ambassadors
Our Dignity Ambassadors are people who take on a central role in strengthening the dignity of individuals and society. They are specially trained, certified and regularly recertified by us to use the methods of the World Café to set targeted impulses for a respectful and appreciative coexistence.

Tasks and Goals of the Dignity Ambassadors
In Dignity Cafés, our Ambassadors create spaces where people can meet, exchange ideas and together discover the meaning of dignity in their everyday lives through discussion circles. These encounters help to strengthen personal dignity and foster appreciation within the community.
Dignity Ambassadors work specifically to foster individuals’ self-respect, personal responsibility and mutual mindfulness. They encourage people to recognize and preserve their own dignity — and to acknowledge it in others as well.
Through their dedication, Dignity Ambassadors help to place dignity back at the center of our society. They work on all levels — from individuals to institutions to businesses — and set impulses for a respectful and appreciative coexistence.
Why We Train Early Childhood Educators as Ambassadors of Dignity
Because dignified interaction starts with ourselves. Early childhood educators who are grounded in their own sense of dignity meet children with clarity, warmth, and genuine eye-level connection. The early years are formative — a child’s subconscious is shaped profoundly during this time, and every encounter, every experience leaves a lasting impression.
This is exactly where the nonprofit organization Liebevoll Ich steps in. We empower childcare professionals to engage mindfully with themselves and to model this values-based attitude in their daily interactions with children, parents, and institutional partners. Our goal: a respectful, values-centered community that actively supports and protects children in their development.
Our project launches at the Katholisches Familienzentrum St. Franziskus in Recklinghausen — a therapeutic-inclusive kindergarten where children with and without disabilities learn and grow together. The process is accompanied by a special symbolic figure: a Würdekönigin (Dignity Queen) crafted by artist Ralf Knoblauch. His oak-carved Dignity figures are used worldwide as a powerful symbol of the inviolability of human dignity — and now serve the same purpose in our center.
The training program consists of multiple modules centered on core values, inner attitude, and practical approaches to dignified interaction. A personal dignity journal accompanies participants throughout the process, inviting ongoing self-reflection. The program concludes with a written reflection that documents each participant’s deep engagement with their own dignity.
Parents are actively included: A dedicated parent evening hosted by Liebevoll Ich introduces the program’s content and creates a meaningful space for families to explore their own dignity and reflect on how they engage with one another at home.
Upon successful completion, the childcare facility receives official recognition as a “Kita in Würde” — a Kindergarten of Dignity. This certification is intentionally not a one-time award: it is renewed annually through a guided professional development day, ensuring that dignified practice remains a living, evolving commitment.
The result is a space where children feel seen, respected, and empowered — from the very beginning.
